Setting expiration dates

An expiration date gives a page a deliberate shelf life. When the date passes, ConfluClean marks the page as Expired so it surfaces for review.

Set expiration date

Setting a date

Open the Set expiration action from the byline popover or the Content list, then choose a date. You can use a preset or pick a custom date.

Presets:

  • 30 days
  • 60 days
  • 90 days
  • 6 months
  • 1 year

Changing or removing a date

Re-open the Set expiration action at any time to choose a new date, or clear the date entirely to remove the expiration.

Impact on status

Expiration is the highest-priority lifecycle signal after exclusion. Once a page's expiration date is in the past, it becomes Expired regardless of how recently it was edited or viewed - see How statuses are computed.

Expired pages are also the target of the auto-archive automation if you enable it.
