How automations work
Automations let ConfluClean act on your content for you, on a schedule, according to rules you control. They turn cleanup from a manual chore into a background routine.
When automations run
Automations run after the daily full scan. Once ConfluClean has finished re-evaluating all of your content for the day, it applies any automations you have enabled to the freshly computed statuses.
Opt-in by design

All automations are disabled by default. ConfluClean never archives or deletes anything until you explicitly turn an automation on. This keeps you in control and prevents surprises.
Available automations
- Auto-archive expired pages - archive pages once they expire.
- Auto-delete archived pages - permanently remove pages that have been archived for a set period.
Preview before you commit
Every automation supports a dry-run preview so you can see exactly which pages it would affect before enabling it. Always preview first, especially because archiving notifies watchers.
