Dry-run preview

A dry-run lets you preview exactly what an automation would do - without changing anything. It is the single most important safety feature in ConfluClean, and you should use it before enabling any automation.

How to preview​

On any automation, click Preview. ConfluClean evaluates the automation against your current content and shows you the result, without archiving or deleting a single page.

What the preview shows​

The dry-run returns the full list of pages the automation would affect, so you can:

  • Confirm the automation targets the content you expect.
  • Spot anything that should be excluded or given a new expiration date first.
  • Estimate how many watcher notifications an archive run would generate.

Preview, then act​

The recommended workflow is always the same:

  1. Preview the automation.
  2. Review the affected pages and fix any surprises.
  3. Enable the automation only when the preview looks right.
