Answers to the questions ConfluClean users ask most often.
Why are all my pages showing as Inactive?
This usually means the inactivity threshold is shorter than your spaces need. ConfluClean marks content Inactive when it has not been viewed within the threshold (60 days by default). If a whole space looks inactive, raise the not-viewed threshold in its scheme, then wait for the next scan.
The scan seems to miss some pages
Two things usually explain this:
- The pages are in an excluded space (including personal spaces, if you have excluded those).
- The content is a type ConfluClean does not track. ConfluClean covers pages, blog posts, whiteboards, and databases.
Check your exclusions first, then confirm the content type.
Can I undo an archive?
Yes. Archiving uses Confluence's native archive feature, so an archived page can be restored from Confluence's own Archived pages view in the space. ConfluClean does not delete archived content unless you explicitly enable auto-delete with the permanent-deletion safeguard turned on.
Does ConfluClean support whiteboards and databases?
Yes. ConfluClean analyzes all four main Confluence content types: pages, blog posts, whiteboards, and databases.
How often does the scan run?
A lightweight delta scan runs hourly to pick up recent changes, and a full scan runs once a day. The daily full scan also triggers any automations you have enabled. You can set the full-scan hour in Global settings.
Will archiving send emails to watchers?
Yes. When a page is archived, Confluence emails all of its watchers. This is native Confluence behavior and cannot be turned off by any app. See the notification spam warning for how to keep it under control.
How is the Health Score calculated?
The Content Health Score is the percentage of your tracked content that is Up to Date, mapped to a letter grade from A to F.
