Notification schemes and rules

Notification schemes control what ConfluClean sends, when it sends it, and who receives it. Like everything in ConfluClean, notifications are opt-in - you choose which ones to turn on.

Notification rules

Built-in notification types

  • Weekly digest - a periodic summary sent to owners, listing the content they are responsible for that needs attention.
  • Expiration warning - a heads-up sent before content expires, so owners can review or extend it in time.

Enabling a notification

  1. Go to Administration > Notifications.
  2. Open the notification you want to use.
  3. Configure its schedule and recipients.
  4. Enable it.

Recipients

Notifications are sent to the owners of the affected content. Pages with no owner cannot notify anyone, which is another reason to keep ownership up to date - see Setting page owners and the Owners report.

Schedules

Each notification runs on its own schedule - for example, a weekly digest on a chosen day, or an expiration warning a set number of days before the expiration date.
