Email templates

ConfluClean uses templates to build the notification emails it sends to owners. Templates let you control the wording so the messages fit your organization's tone.

Editing a template​

Templates are edited in a simple mode where you write the message and drop in variables that ConfluClean fills with real data when the email is sent.

Available variables​

Common variables you can use include:

  • recipientName - the owner the email is addressed to
  • totalPages - the number of pages included in the notification
  • statusGroups - the affected content grouped by status

These let a single template produce a personalized message for every recipient.

Preview with sample data​

Before you rely on a template, use the Preview to see how it renders with sample data. This shows you the final email exactly as a recipient would receive it, so you can check the wording and variables before anything is sent.
