Assigning schemes to spaces

Every space uses exactly one scheme. Assigning the right scheme to each space is how you apply different lifecycle policies across your site.

Assign a scheme​

  1. Go to Administration > Schemes (or the space management view).
  2. Find the space you want to change.
  3. Select the scheme to apply.

The new scheme takes effect on the next scan.

Bulk assignment​

To apply the same scheme to many spaces at once, use bulk assignment: select multiple spaces and assign the scheme in a single step. This is the fastest way to roll out a policy across a group of related spaces.

What happens when you change a space's scheme​

Changing a space's scheme changes the thresholds used to evaluate its content. On the next scan, every item in that space is re-evaluated against the new scheme, so some statuses may change. No content is modified - only the way it is classified.
